DJ W.I.Z,also known as DJ Wiz,or Dub.I.Z and known to very few as Lee Harris is a Dallas,Texas
born Hip Hop artist,DJ and Producer.An unsung pioneer of the Southeast hip hop sound and
style,he has been producing local and national acts,DJing,dancing and generally disrupting the
creative status quo since he was a boy.The catalyst was a move to Alabam a when he was just ten
years of age:One of only a handful of white kids at an all AfricanAmerican
school,he immediately
embraced the sounds and soul culture of the south,a form of expression that combined dance and
art in motion that took hold of him and never let go.Breakdancing became his outlet,bboying
becoming his style of walk, talk and dress for life’s adventures.When his mother moved him back
to Dallas,he brought back with him the culture and lifestyle that had so enriched his
soul,punctuated by the heartbeat and the sounds of the streets.Hip hop had not yet made much of
an impact in Texas at that time, the racism and misunderstanding of the culture creating an
adversity that in turn spawned a powerfully creative force.Gravitating towards the small but tight
knit community that was just beginning to grow,he was strongly influenced by the handful of DJ’s
that were working the clubs at the time.He fell in love with how they held the crowd in the palms of
their hands,keeping them dancing as they mixed different beats and grooves.He knew
immediately that this was what he needed to do.Within a year he had bought his own turntables
and mixer and was starting to learn the blends,cuts and mix techniques that became the
foundations of his life’s work.
At the age of fifteen,he was the youngest resident DJ at a local topforty
dance club,and was
known for getting on the floor to break dance during his sets.At the age of seventeen he was
signed to a Dallas record label,who at the time had all five of Dallas’hip hop artists on its roster.In
the years that ensued,he went on to share stages with several iconic rap and hip hop artists,such
as Sir Mix a Lot,Run DMC,UTFO,and Whodini,who he opened up for on a six month tour. W.I.Z.
has also toured with Vanilla Ice,DJing in between sets while touring through Russia, Japan and
Mexico,and continuing on from there to travel throughout the USA,touring and DJing.He's
recorded many artists,both independent and major,and has honed his craft by emulating those
that have most influenced him,among them Marley Marl,Rick Rubin,Quincy Jones,DJ Jazzy Jeff,Dj
Premier and Dr.Dre.Some of his production credits and table wk,I got your girlfriend(song he got
robbed of)He produced a song for Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys,and also worked with several
artists on Bill's label C Note Records. Other notable production credits include work with BMG
artist No Name,Ghetto Mafia,Ghetto Fame Us,No Limits artist Silkk the Shocker and Young Bleed

DJ W.I.Z. has travelled the world,and lived all over the United States.He’s lived in
Texas,California,Florida,Alabama,Georgia, Colorado and N.Y. and continues to go everywhere his
music takes him.He’s seen it all,from the very beginnings of hip hop to what it’s become today,
and has made it his mission to put the soul back into the genre,bringing the heart and thought
back into the lyrics and music.Recently working with and along side of Wu Tang Management( not
signed with or signed to anyone at moment as artist or producer) /currently signed with Wu World
Wide DJ’s(also known as Wu Tang DJ’s),he is getting ready for a new release in 2016,and is
currently working with Wu Tang Management/Protect Ya Neck Records recording artist King
Edwards as his official DJ,and is the Midwest tour DJ/Producer for Eternal of the Killa Beez.Has a
